Letter tiles saying next steps

GETTING STARTED

Your First Step Starts Here

Reaching out can feel like the hardest part — but the process at A Little Healing is simple, unhurried, and guided at every stage.

01 Reach Out

A brief message or inquiry is all it takes. There's no pressure and no right way to begin — just a note saying you're ready, or even that you're not sure yet.

02 Free Consultation Call

A 15–20 minute phone call to talk about what's bringing you to therapy, ask any questions you have, and get a feel for whether we're a good fit — no commitment required.

03 Begin at Your Pace

If it feels right, we'll schedule your first session. Early sessions focus on getting to know you, your story, and what healing looks like for you.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Honest, Collaborative, and Entirely Yours

Your Pace, Always

Therapy at A Little Healing is not rushed. There are no timelines to hit and no benchmarks to meet. Sessions are shaped by what feels relevant and manageable for you that week — whether that's a breakthrough or simply getting through the door again.

What You Share Stays Here

Everything discussed in therapy is confidential. You'll be given a clear explanation of confidentiality and its legal limits during your first session, so you can speak freely knowing exactly where the boundaries are.

A Collaborative Process

You are the expert on your own life. The therapist's role is to offer tools, perspective, and a grounded presence — not to prescribe a path. Goals and approaches are developed together, and revisited as your needs evolve.

Meeting You Where You Are

Whether you're in crisis, curious, or somewhere in between, there's space for you here. A culturally responsive, trauma-informed lens means your full context — your history, identity, and lived experience — is always part of the room.

SESSION FORMAT

Therapy is available virtually via a secure telehealth platform.

AVAILABILITY

Evening and daytime appointments are available. Current openings are limited — reaching out early ensures you can be scheduled promptly or added to a priority waitlist.

FEES & INSURANCE

Please reach out directly to discuss rates, insurance questions, or any concerns about affordability — no one should have to go without support because of cost alone.

COMMON QUESTIONS

You're Allowed to Have Questions

Most people come to therapy with hesitations — that's completely normal. Here are honest answers to the questions that tend to come up most.

  • What if I've never been to therapy before?

That's okay — many clients at A Little Healing are coming to therapy for the first time. The first few sessions are low-pressure and focused on getting comfortable, not on solving everything at once. You don't need to arrive with a clear agenda.
  • What if I'm not sure I'm 'bad enough' to need therapy?

Therapy isn't reserved for crisis. If you're feeling stuck, exhausted, or simply disconnected from yourself, that's enough of a reason. You don't need to justify your need for support.
  • How long will I be in therapy?

That depends entirely on your goals and what feels right for you. Some clients benefit from a focused short-term engagement; others prefer ongoing support. This is always discussed openly and revisited as your needs change.
  • What if it doesn't feel like the right fit?

Therapeutic fit matters deeply. If at any point the relationship doesn't feel right, that's an honest and important conversation to have — and there's no judgment in it. Your comfort and trust come first.

Thank you for reaching out. We'll be in touch soon — you've already taken the hardest step.
